Description

The reverse of the coin represents a very fierce picture of the iconic Tyrannosaurus, selectively coloured, with the skeleton of the body portrayed in the lower part of the design. On the reverse, also the inscriptions: "TYRANNOSAURUS" - the name of the coin and "CRETACEOUS" - the period in which the creature inhabited the planet. The obverse of the coin features the Effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the inscriptions: "CHARLES III" – the name of the King, "D·G·REX·F·D" – the Latin acronym that stands for: Dei Gratia Rex Fidei Defensor, "50 PENCE" – the face value and "2024" – the year of issue.
