Description

The reverse of the coin represents a very detailed picture of the Stegosaurus, with its distinctive double row of large bony plates along its back, as well as spikes on its tail that it could use for defense against predators. On the reverse, also the inscriptions: "STEGOSAURUS" - the name of the coin and "JURASSIC" - the period in which the creature inhabited the planet. The obverse of the coin features the Effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the inscriptions: "CHARLES III" – the name of the King, "D·G·REX·F·D" – the Latin acronym that stands for: Dei Gratia Rex Fidei Defensor, "50 PENCE" – the face value and "2024" – the year of issue.
