Appearance: Grey-brown kangaroo-like marsupial with yellow-striped tail, white underside, yellow forearms and yellow feet.
Habitat: Rock crevices and caves in semi-arid country from South Australia to south-west Queensland.
Diet: Feeds in the cool of dusk and early morning on native grasses, plants and bark.

With thick, rough pads of skin on its feet to prevent slipping, this wallaby can climb up sloping tree trunks. When the Rock Wallaby senses danger it will stomp the ground with its hind legs as a warning to others.
