The reverse of the coin depicts a cute Koala resting on a tree branch. Koalas are a symbol of Australia and spend much of their time in gum trees consuming large quantities of leaves. All around the reverse, the inscriptions: "KOALA", "15TH ANNIVERSARY", "2022" – the year of issue and "3oz 999 SILVER" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver. The obverse features the image of a Koala hanging on a tree branch. At the top, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and, all around, the inscriptions: "AUSTRALIA" – the country of issue, "3 DOLLARS" – the face value, "ELIZABETH II", - the name of the Queen and "2007 2022".
