The reverse of the coin features Wendingo, a mythical creature from Native American folklore, particularly among the Algonquian-speaking tribes. It is often described as a malevolent, cannibalistic spirit or monster that is associated with winter, famine, and greed. On the reverse, the inscription "2024" - the year of issue and "ONE DOLLAR" - the face value. The obverse of the coin features a bald eagle and a native man with a falcon on his arm.
