The reverse of the coin depicts the beautiful Owl that is represented on the famous and Antique Greek Silver Tetradrachm. The owl was the symbol of the goddess Athena, who was the patron deity of the city of Athens. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: "1 OZ .999 FINE SILVER" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver. The obverse shows the Effigy of King Charles III, along with the inscriptions: "CHARLES III" - the king's name, "D.G.REX F.D." - the Latin expression honoring the king, "ST. HELENA" - the country of issue and "1 POUND" - the face value.
