The reverse of the coin presents the Ship's Cat, the presence of a cat next to a ship of a coin could have symbolic or historical meanings. In ancient times, cats were often present on ships to keep away mice and other rodents that could damage food and supplies. This could indicate a connection to the protection of the vessel or to good fortune during navigation.
