The reverse of the coin consists of a very unusual geometry, which is made up of two Silver discs that cut along the axial diameter. This geometric shape gives the coin the opportunity to depict multiple scenarios: the Pirate Ship facing the attack of the Giant Octopus, the Pirate Captain with his faithful winged friend on his arm, and the Pirate Ship's helm with the skull in the center in maximum prominence, a symbol of the constant risk of death. The obverse of the coin depicts the Public Seal of Niue along with the inscriptions: "NIUE ISLAND" - the country of issue, "5 DOLLARS" - the face value, and "2023" - the year of issue.
