The coin obverse shows part of a 1898 poster designed by Axentowicz to announce the 'Exhibition of the Sztuka Polish Society of Artists'. To the left and above is the country of issue in English and Armenian respectively, while to the right is the Armenian coat of arms and face value.
On the reverse features a portrait of Teodor Axentowicz, taken from his 1907 self-portrait. To the right is part of his painting "A Hutsul Burial" (1882).
