The reverse of the coin features NGC 100, a spiral galaxy situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. The magnifying lens enhances the beauty of the design. On the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Cameroon and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the country of issue, "2024" – the year of issue and "500 FRANCS CFA" – the face value.
