Description

The reverse of the coin features a representation of the classic tale "The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs". In the foreground, the Goose and a golden egg; in the background, the farmer is admiring the egg and contemplating to kill the goose ang get all the Gold inside of it. On top of the reverse, the inscription: "GREED ALWAYS LEADS TO GREAT LOSS" – the moral of the story. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "ST. HELENA" – the country of issue, "50 PENCE" – the face value and "2022" – the year of issue.
