The reverse of the medal features a beautiful portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States, serving from 1933 until his death in 1945. During his presidency, Roosevelt led the country through some of its most challenging times, including the Great Depression and World War II. On the right of the reverse, the inscription: "FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT" – the name of the medal. The obverse of the medal a stylized American flag and the inscriptions: "1932 1936 1940 1944" – the years which Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected President of the United States.
