The coin's reverse depicts an Apache person, a native American from the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. On the top of the reverse, the inscription: "Apache" – the name of the tribe and on the bottom: "999 Silver One Ounce” – the weight and the fineness of Silver, “2016” – the issue year, “One Dollar" – the face value. The obverse of the coin depicts one of Arizona's most famous animals, a rattlesnake ready to attack and the inscriptions: “Arizona Rattlesnake”, “Jamul Sovereign Nation” and “America”.
