The reverse of the coin shows the Statue of Liberty, the New York skyline and the American flag framing it. On the upper part of the reverse side the American flag with the inscription: "PATRIOT DAY", "SEPTEMBER 9/11" - the day of the tragedy. The obverse of the coin depicts the Coat of Arms of Chad with the inscriptions: "ALWAYS REMEMBER", "999/1000 FINE GOLD" - the fineness of the Gold and "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD" – the issuing country, "10.000 FRANCS FCA" – the face value.
