The reverse of the coin depicts a man and a woman of Caribbean origins, representing the symbols of the Windrush Generation. The Windrush generations were invited to migrate to the UK to help rebuild the country after World War II and to fill labour shortages in various industries. On the obverse, the Effigy of King Charles III together with the inscription: "CHARLES III" - the name of the King, "D.G. REX F.D." - the latin expression meaning "By the grace of God, King and Defender of the Faith", "50 PENCE" - the face value and "2023" - the year of issue.
