The reverse of the coin mimics a comic book splash page with its engraved rendition of the Bat Signal shining in the night sky over Gotham City. The colour and coin frosting allow the iconic beacon to retain its luminosity, particularly through the contrast between the colour elements and the coin's exposed silver surface. Behind the Bat Signal, a laser halftone pattern adds a modern graphic element that recreates a night sky backdrop, allowing the signal to shine brightly while infusing the entirety of the design with a classic comic book feel. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Barbados and the inscriptions: "BARBADOS" – the issue country, "2019" – the year of issue and "DOLLAR" – the face value.
