The reverse design by Canadian artist Margaret Best. Exquisitely engraved in a proof finish, the scene invites the viewer to step into an orchard on an idyllic fall morning, when early sunlight streams over the horizon and illuminates the rolling landscape. Vibrant colour draws the eye towards the branch of a crab apple tree, where delicate-looking dewdrops cling to the clustered leaves and fruit. The focus is undeniably the dominant design element: a perfectly round droplet made of clear resin, which mimics the magnifying effect of a dewdrop for an enhanced view of the diminutive crab apple. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscriptions: "20 DOLLARS" – the face value and "2018" – the year of issue. On the top, the inscription: "CANADA" – the issue country.
