AUTUMNS PALETTE Silver Coin 10$ Canada 2017

The reverse of the coin is designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco and presents an idyllic, lakeside view of Canada's autumn landscape. Colour over engraving re-creates the season's iconic mix of red, orange, yellow, green and brown foliage that transform the once-green surroundings and make Canada a prime fall destination! The mosaic of colourful leaves is beautifully reflected on the lightly rippled surface of the water, along with the purple hue of the hills that rise up in the distance. Near the water's edge, two Muskoka chairs invite us to linger longer in this tranquil setting, where the trumpeting call of Canadian geese (Branta canadensis) overhead is associated with the change of season and adds to this quintessentially Canadian experience. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscriptions: "CANADA" – the issuing country and "2017" – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "D·G·REGINA" – Dei Gratia Regina and "10 DOLLARS" – the face value.
