Frilled Neck Lizard – a member of the dragon family which possesses a brightly-coloured frill around its neck.
Common Wombat – an herbivorous marsupial that digs burrows with its powerful claws.
Saltwater Crocodile – the world's largest reptile, which lives in coastal waters and rivers across northern Australia.
Koala – a docile marsupial that lives in Australia’s eucalypt forests.
Platypus – an extraordinary egg-laying mammal that lives in and around freshwater lakes and streams.

The coins’ reverse designs depict unique interpretations of a frilled neck lizard, common wombat, saltwater crocodile, koala and platypus. Each design is enhanced with a coloured pattern in the background. Designs for the three-year Dreaming Series have been created by Darryl Bellotti, The Perth Mint’s Indigenous artist.
The coins are issued a legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. The obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
