The reverse of the coin shows a colored Australian Emu with three chicks. These birds are a significant cultural symbol for Indigenous Australians and are also an important part of Australia's natural ecosystem. Emus play a key role in dispersing seeds and shaping the landscape through their foraging habits. On the reverse, the inscription: "AUSTRALIAN EMU" – the name of the coin, "2024" - the year of issue, "1oz 9999 SILVER" - the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver, mintmark "P125" signifying The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.
