The reverse features a view of the 98.6 m tall St Mark's Campanile tower is seen from the canal, a line of gondola's in the foreground – all quintessentially Venetian. The obverse shows the sculptures and detailing of a Venetian facade, depicting the Doge of Venice kneeling before the Lion of Saint Mark, the symbol of the city that represents Saint Mark the Evangelist, patron of Venice. On the reverse, all around, the inscriptions in golden color: "AETERNITAS" – Eternity, and "Venice" – the name of the city. At the bottom, the inscription: "AD 452" – Anno Domini 452 the year in which the city was founded. On the obverse, at the top, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All around, the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "NIUE" – the issuing country, "2022" - the year of issue, "FIVE DOLLARS" - the face value and "Ag 999", the fineness of the Silver.
