The coin is a wonderful figurine of a Nizaris. The Nizaris are the largest segment of the Ismaili Muslims, who are the second-largest branch of Shia Islam after the Twelvers. They were a heretical group of Shiite Muslims who were powerful in Persia and Syria from the 11th century CE until their defeat at the hands of the Mongols in the mid-13th century CE. The coin depicts a Nizaris with his face covered, standing on his knee and with a knife in his hand, probably waiting for the right moment to attack. The obverse of the coin features an intricate concentric pattern with at its center the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All around, the inscriptions: "10 DOLLARS" – the face value, "NIUE" – the country of issue, "2022" – the year of issue, "AG 925" – the fineness of the Silver and "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen.
