Description

The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful image of Princess Diana at the opening of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. For the occasion, Diana wore a distinctive pearl-encrusted jacket created by Catherine Walker, who was inspired by the Elizabethan ruff. All around the image, a floral pattern and the inscriptions: "DIANA – PRINECSS OF WALES". The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions: "TOKELAU 2022" – the country and the year of issue, "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "100 DOLLARS" – the face value and "1 OZ 9999 GOLD" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Gold.
