Description

The reverse of the coin features a beautiful image of the commander ship HMS Sirius, surrounded by the other 10 ships that followed the colonial mission. Each vessel is followed by its name: Lady Penrhyn, Alexander, Charlotte, Borrowdale, Fishburn, Friendship, Golden Grove, Scarborough, Prince of Wales, HMS Supply and HMS Sirius. On the bottom of the coin, the inscriptions: "1788" – the year of the expedition and "THE FIRST FLEET" – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NIUE" – the issuing country, "2018" – the year of issue, "2OZ 999 SILVER" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver and "FIVE DOLLARS" – the face value.
