The reverse of each coin represents the memorable scenes of the fantasy story the Return of the King, with selective coloration. The outer ring of the coin is gilded and shows the inscriptions: "THE RETURN OF THE KING" - the name of the set and "20TH ANNIVERSARY" - the event which inspired the creation of the set and "ONE DOLLAR" - the face value.
