The reverse of the coin shows Midas, king of Phrygia, famous for becoming capable of turning everything he touches into pure gold by the god Dionysus. Midas rapidly suffered from a power that would make him infinitely rich. On the reverse also the inscription "MIDAS" - the name of the coin written in ancient greek style.
