Description

The reverse of the coin shows a fantastic representation of the Kraken, one of the most legendary creatures of the deep sea. It is a giant octopus or squid that is said to dwell in the depths of the ocean. The Kraken is an enormous, majestic, and terrifying creature that has been known to swallow whole ships and drag them down into the abyss. On the reverse also the quote: "A SMOOTH SEA NEVER MADE A SKILLED SAILOR" - meaning that in order to become skilled at something, you must face challenges and overcome obstacles. The obverse of the coin shows the Effigy of King Charles III, with the inscriptions: "CHARLES III" - the name of the King, "REPUBLIC OF GHANA" - the issuing country, "FIVE CEDIS" - the face value, "1 OZ Ag 999" - the weight and the fineness of the Silver and "2024" - the year of issue.
