The reverse of the coin shows a fantastic representation of Scheherazade, portrayed as a clever and resourceful woman who avoids execution by the king by telling him captivating stories each night. The character has become a symbol of female intelligence, courage, and resilience and, for this, she wears jewels and one of these jewels is a beautiful Crystal insert, symbolizing the power of intelligence. On the obverse, the Public Seal of Niue along with the inscriptions: "5 DOLLARS" - the face value, "NIUE" - the issuing country and "2023" - the issuing year.
