JASON AND CHIRON Argonauts 2 Oz Silver Coin 5$ Niue 2022

The reverse of the coin shows a wonderful image of Jason, a Greek hero, and Chiron, the wisest of all the centaurs. Jason is wearing the Golden Fleece, which is Gilded on the coin. The background presents a Greek city. The Greek element is also presented all around the reverse with a frame with the typical Greek pattern. On the left, the inscription: "JASON AND CHIRON" – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II placed on a shield. A ram's head takes pride of place in front of the shield, while behind it is a mix of the fleece and some weapons. There's a classic Greek fret decorative border all around, also called a Meandros. The obverse also incorporates the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NIUE" – the country of issue, "5 DOLLARS" – the face value and "2022" – the year of issue.
