CHERNOBYL Human Tragedies 2 Oz Silver Coin 5$ Niue 2021

The reverse of the coin depicts the mask of a liquidator, in which the scene of the cleaning of the area after the explosion is reflected. The design also features some glow in the dark parts, alluding to people's ideas about the appearance of radioactive substances. At the top and at the bottom, the inscriptions: "CHERNOBYL" – the name of the coin and "26.04.1986" - the date of the reactor accident. The obverse of the coin shows an old ferris wheel, symbol of the hurriedly abandoned Pripyat. The obverse also includes the Coat of Arms of Niue and the inscriptions: "2021" – the year of issue, "NIUE" – the country of issue, "5 DOLLARS" – the face value and "Ag 999" – the fineness of the Silver.
