The reverse of the coin features the first Russian matryoshka doll created by Russian craftsman Vasily Zvyozdochkin. In the center of the reverse, a woman wearing the traditional Russian costume, symbol for the mother, with a gorgeous coloration and a black rooster in her right hand. The coin's obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "Niue Island" – the issue country, "1 Dollar" - the face value, "Elizabeth II" – the name of the Queen and "Ag 999" – the fineness of Silver.
