The knight Tariel is one of the leading characters of the poem "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" by Shota Rustaveli. Tariel, is a free spirit, a knight compared to an animal in his unwavering ability to follow his heart without fear and for his stealth and intelligence ad well. The Reverse of the coin features the knight fighting a wild tiger and lion. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NIUE ISLAND" – the issuing country, "2022" – the year of issue, "1 DOLLAR" – the face value, "Ag 999" the weight and the fineness of the Silver.
