Vaals Labyrinth
The Three Country Point Labyrinth is located in Vaals, the Netherlands, which serves a crossroad for the citizens of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. It was built in 1992 by British landscape designer and artist Adrian Fisher. The frontline labyrinth constituted by 17000 hornbeam shrubs has been designed to have three extremal points, with lots of branched and spiral trails and water barriers, and in the middle of the maze there is a tower shaped platform opening a picturesque view of the surroundings. The Three Country Point Labyrinth is one of Europe's most difficult. It is a special location for many reasons. As the highest point of the Netherlands, town of Vaals has for nearly 200 years been a hub of economic relations for the surrounding areas. Here you can find peculiar borderline supports which served a contact zone of the neighboring countries for centuries. The Three Country Point Labyrinth is an original symbol of international cooperation.

The reverse of the coin features a contour of the Vaals labyrinth with a tower shaped platform in the center and the gilded ball rolling through the labyrinth's trails. All around the reverse, the inscription: “Labyrinths of the World” - the name of the coin’s series and the same inscription in Armenian language. The obverse of the coin depicts The Three Country Point Labyrinth (Vaals) and the borderline supports of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia. In the top of the obverse, the inscription: “5000 Dram” - the face value and “2016” - the issue year. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “VAALS - NETHERLANDS” - the name of the coin and the same inscription in Armenian language.
