Description
The reverse of the coin tells the story of Linnaeus, who dedicated his life to observing and categorizing plants, organizing them based on the timing of their corolla openings. As a result, he created a floral clock: as we can see from the design, each flower awakens at a specific time, with some blooming early in the morning and others requiring the warmth of the midday sun. The obverse of the coin repeats the image of circular patterns recalling the idea of blossomed flowers. In the outer of the obverse, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA" - the issuing country, "20 DOLLARS" - the face value, "1 OZ" - the weight of the coin and "9999 FINE SILVER" - the fineness of the Silver.
