Design

The reverse of this fourth Silver coin features the Japanese Archipelago, with a particular shape – two hands are shaking as a greeting, in the center of the coin. On the background of the reverse, a beautiful and peaceful pink color with cherry blossom. The common obverse depicts a lone pine tree that survived the tsunami in Rikuzentakata. This “miracle pine”, which became a symbol of the reconstruction, is surrounded by pigeons.
