The reverse of the coin shows the portrait of Maria de Maeztu, a pioneer in the field of women's education in Spain and a strong advocate for women's rights and social reform. She founded the first school of social work in Spain and was a key figure in the Spanish feminist movement. For the great woman she was, on this coin she is also representing the International Women's Day, honoring the contribution of women in the world. On the design, the inscriptions: "10 EURO" - the face value, "8-M DIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MUJER" - the commemorated event.
