The reverse of the coin shows two Golden Horses, the content is inspired by a popular Latvian folk song and the golden Latvian sea as well as by the ancient Greek myth of the horses pulling the chariot of Poseidon, the god of the sea. On the reverse, the inscription: "5 EURO" - the face value. On the obverse, a wheel, along with the inscriptions: "LATVIJA" - the issuing country and "2023" - the year of issue.
