The reverse of the gold coin depicts Napoleon wearing his famous three-pronged hat that depicts a number of french historical symbols. The coin's obverse depicts various characteristic symbols such as the eagle and the bees. The laurel wreath as a reminder of his coronation and the inscriptions: "RF" - short for French Republic and "200€" "50€" "5€" - the face value of each coin. The reverse of the Silver coin depicts Napoleon in profile, with the inscriptions: "NAPOLEON" and "EMP ET. ROT.". The obverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings and an angel putting on a halo.
