NOAH ARK Gold Coin 100 Dram Armenia 2024

The reverse of the coin depicts Noah's Ark. According to the Bible, Noah built an ark to save his family and pairs of every kind of animal from the flood sent by God. There is a long-standing tradition and belief among the Armenian people that Noah's Ark landed on Mount Ararat in Armenia. On the reverse we can also see the dove, images from the story of Noah's Ark when Noah sends it out to check if the flood waters have receded. In the Bible, the dove returns to the ark with an olive branch in its beak, signaling that the flood is over and that there is dry land. This has become a symbol of hope and peace in many cultures. The obverse of the coin shows the Public Seal of Armenia and the inscription "REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA" - country of issue, "100 DRAM" - the face value, "1g Au 999,9" - the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Gold and "2024" - the year of issue.
