The reverse of the coin shows the proud Slovak Eagle soaring above the majestic Tatra Mountains, looking for its prey. This image conveys a sense of success and triumph, the same feeling the Slovaks must have felt when reaching their self-determination. On the obverse, the inscriptions: "1 OZ" - the weight of the coin, "SLOVAKIA" - the country celebrated with its symbols and "Au9999" - the fineness of Gold.
