The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a wolf family with the big and strong Akela, little Mowgli and three young wolves. The inscription "THE WOLF PACK AND AKELA" completes the composition. The obverse side of the coin then presents an Indian jungle full of unruly monkeys and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "2022" – the year of issue, "NIUE ISLAND" – the country of issue and "1 DOLLAR" - the face value.
