The reverse of this coin depicts Faust Vrančić, known for his invention of the parachute, which he described in his book "Machinae Novae" in 1595. The parachute was designed to help people escape from burning buildings or high places. The reverse of the coin shows the inscriptions: "Republika Hrvatska" - the country issue, "2023" - the year of issue and "4 EURO" - the face value. The obverse of the coin shows the wind turbine, Vrančić also described a design for a wind-powered machine that could be used for various purposes, such as grinding grain or pumping water. The coin also shows the inscriptions: "FAUST VRANCIC" - the name of the coin and "MACHINAE NOVAE".
