The reverse of the coin shows a detailed representation of the upper body of the Black Lizard! The island of Brusnik has been designated as a natural monument since 1951 due to its geological history of volcanic origin and porous limestone, housing a variety of endemic species, including the black lizard that thrives in the crystal-clear sea and colorful underwater landscapes. On the reverse, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" - the issuing country, "CRNA GUSTERICA" - the name of the Black Lizard and "100 EURO" - the face value. On the obverse, an aerial view of the Black Lizard in its natural environment, along with the inscriptions: "PODARCIS MELISELLENSIS MELISELLENSIS" - the name of the species.
