The reverse of the coin features the face of Frankenstein, with his large forehead and terrific expression. He is the famous creature brought to life through a scientific experiment in which various body parts are reanimated and stitched together. On the reverse also the inscription "Frankenstein" in italics - the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the Effigy of King Charles III together with the inscriptions: "CHARLES III" - the name of the King, "5 DOLLARS" - the face value and "COOK ISLANDS" - the issuing country.
