The reverse of the coin shows a wonderful Lion in High Relief in the foreground with open jaws and clearly visible teeth. The details are exceptional, every single hair is visible and the open eyes are very awe-inspiring because of how precise and carefully drawn they are. In the background, on the other hand, the image of the lion is more abstract, although the details are incredible too. On the base of the reverse, the inscription: "KING OF THE SOUTH" – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the lion claws and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the Queen's name, "COOK ISLANDS" - the country of issue, "2023" - the year of issue and "100 DOLLARS" - the face value.
