The reverse of the coin shows a profile depiction of Philip II of Macedon. He was born in 382 BC and ruled as King from 359 to 336 BC. Philipp II of Macedon restored peace to his country and by 339 had gained domination over all of Greece. After the king's assassination, his son Alexander III succeeded him, who was later known as Alexander the Great. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name oft he Queen, "5 DOLLARS" – the face value, "COOK ISLANDS" – the country of issue and "2022" – the year of issue.
