The reverse of this coin features an image of a mermaid siting on a rock in the sea, with ships on the background. On the reverse, the inscription: "THE LAST MERMAID" – the name of the coin. The obverse features the X Ray image of the mermaid holding a shell in her hand. On the obverse, the public seal of Palau and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF PALAU" – the issuing country, "5 DOLLARS" – the face value and "2024"- the year of issue.
