APOLLO 11 MOON REVIEW: 50th Anniversary - UFO - 3 Oz Silver Coin - Francs Cameroon 2019

Hi Dears, it’s Chiara, and welcome or welcome back to Power Coin’s Blog!

Today I would like to introduce you to a wonderful Silver Coin that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar Mission.

I’m talking about the “Apollo 11” Silver coin, the second release in the “UFO” series.

Apollo 11

Apollo 11

Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two people on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin, both American, landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface six hours later on July 21 at 02:56:15 UTC; Aldrin joined him 19 minutes later. They spent about two and a quarter hours together outside the spacecraft, and collected 47.5 pounds (21.5 kg) of lunar material to bring back to Earth.

The Reverse

The reverse of this 3 Oz Silver Coin depicts the wonderful image of the first man on the moon with an incredible color applied to the glass of the space suit. On the left of the reverse, the inscription: “APOLLO 11·1969”.
Simply amazing.

The Obverse

The obverse of the coin shows the top view of the footprint of the astronaut and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN” – the issuing country, “2019” – the year of issue and “3000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value.

As the previous issue, the mintage of this coin is limited to 500 pieces worldwide, but trust me when I say you that this coin is selling quickly and it will be sold out very soon!

So no waste more time, head over to our official website and get yours now!
