We are in the midst of the winter launch season, which means we have been receiving plenty of new and stunning coins!

Today, I'm going to look at a really uncommon and one-of-a-kind coin from the Royal Canadian Mint. Let's discover it together!

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER

The coin is made of pure Silver, weights approximately 3 Oz and has Matte Proof finish.

What makes it a unique coin? Well, first and foremost, its shape. The coin is designed just like a Black Label Round Diamond, but there's more! A genuine Forevermark Black Label Round Diamond is included on this coin!

Let's take a pause for a moment. I am sure we all know what a diamond is and how it looks, but do we know anything about its history? I would like to share what I've learned with you!

DID YOU KNOW?

Diamonds developed many years ago at a depth of 100 miles or more below the surface of the Earth, where a combination of high temperature and high pressure allowed diamonds to grow.

Diamonds that we see today were most likely transported to the surface millions of years ago by volcanic explosions!

As far as we know, this suggests that all diamonds are extremely old! The majority of diamonds formed in the first several billion years of the Earth's history!

THE COIN – PRESENTATION and CURIOSITIES

A capsule protects the coin, which is housed in an exquisite black case inside a black box bearing the Royal Canadian Mint logo.

The coin comes with two Certificates of Authenticity: one from the mint, which contains all of the coin's specifications, and the other from Forevermark, which guarantees the quality of the Diamond insert.

The diamond of the coin I reviewed comes from the Victor Diamond Mine in Ontario, Canada. Victor Diamonds are among the world's oldest diamonds, having formed over a billion years ago!
