The coin is shaped like an old phone to commemorate its innovative inventor, Alexander Graham Bell. The reverse also features a movable 24k Gold plated inlay in form of a dial wheel, an image of the inventor at work and the inscriptions: "THE TELEPHONE" – the name of the famous invention, "ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL" – the name of the inventor and "1922-2022" – the year of the inventor's death and the year of the 100th Anniversary. The obverse of the coin features the image of an old phone and a dial wheel, together with the Coat of Arms of Barbados and the inscriptions: "BARBADOS" – the country of issue, "2022" – the year of issue, "5 DOLLARS" – the face value and "3 oz Ag 999" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver.
